Sometimes a moment lands in your lap and everyone around you reacts with sparkle and delight — and you just feel… fine. Or tired. Or sort of out-of-body, like you’re watching yourself experience it from the corner of the room.
That happened for me recently. I was formally acknowledged for something big — an event I shaped and created, that people said beautiful things about. I know it matters. But the feeling I expected to arrive with a fanfare of emotion never came. No wave of pride. No sparkling joy. Just a quiet “huh.” I keep checking in to see if the emotions have shown up yet. Still mostly… air.
But here’s the weird and honest part: it is meaningful. Even without a thunderclap of emotion, I did something. It came through me. I made it real. Others felt the weight of it. And I’m learning (slowly, annoyingly) that sometimes meaning lands outside of our emotional bodies. Sometimes your impact is real even when you don’t feel it in your chest. That doesn’t mean it didn’t matter. That might mean it really did.
A curious mind might ask:
Where have I been waiting to feel something as confirmation, when the truth was already moving under the surface?
What would it be like to believe myself, even in the absence of big feelings?
A connected heart might notice:
Others feel differently than I do, and that’s not a flaw — it’s a feature. Their joy or excitement or intensity might reflect something beautiful I can’t quite access yet. And that’s ok.
A creative body might try:
Do one small thing that reflects back what you know to be true — not what you think you’re supposed to feel. Make a gentle plan. Light a candle. Send the email. Put your name on the thing. Let the doing lead the feeling, not the other way around.
Sinking into Success
You might be surprised to find that your version of success is softer, steadier, and more grounded than you imagined.
If this all resonates
— the quietness, the underwhelm, the wondering —
Sinking into Success might be just the thing.
It’s a series of gentle audio guides that helps you tune into what success actually feels like for you.
Not the big, loud, performative kind —
but the spacious, true kind that often arrives without fireworks.
You’ll be guided to sense it in your body, not chase it in your head.

✨ An Invitation to Wonder
Think back to a moment when something good happened…
and you didn’t feel what you thought you should.
What did you expect to feel?
What did you actually feel?
What might still be true about that moment,
even if your body didn’t send a memo about it at the time?
That line: “I found peace in the way I lose” — the whole song sits in the space of reorienting to truth, even when it doesn’t come wrapped in cinematic emotion.
Dear Sensitive Soul 💛
It’s totally fine to ignore every single suggestion above.
Seriously.
Without real no’s, your yeses won’t feel true.
This isn’t about fixing.
It’s about staying open.
Staying kind.
Letting your quiet instincts speak before the storylines take over.
If one small wondering calls to you —
follow it.
That’s more than enough.

Affirmation for Underwhelmed Women
Many women love to feel things deeply, and make meaning from those feelings.
They are conditioned to measure their success by how intensely they feel it.
Which undermines our ability to recognise the quieter truths that live beneath the surface.
Remember you can trust what’s true even if it doesn’t feel dramatic.
I trust you to stay open to your own pace, rhythm, and knowing.
Inside Sinking into Success you’ll find a calming audio guide to help you sense what success feels like in your body — with more space, less pressure, and no need to perform.
Draft notes on duality of not feeling a lot
Feeling not much at all & lies
> empathy > the things i hardly feel at all
Two big lies.
The lie of patriarchy – that my labour as a woman is worth less.
The lie of confidence – that i needed to feel it to begin…
This is a self feeding loop. Vicious spiral as they say.
Urgh
But the cure is the two things
- To think for yourself, and redefine the terms of your engagement with the world.
- To know and trust what you really want, and to follow that with humility and devotion.
Still true. The lie of patriarchy. The lie of confidence first.
There’s a lot going on right now.
What i feel and what others feel is different.
And that is ok. Healthy. Right feeling is not a thing……
That others feel.
Empathy.
wild.

I don’t know how to feel about this.
I am touched.
No big feelings though.
Can take some time to sit with this.
It is an achievement.
To return to me.
It came through me
I did this.
It doesn’t feel connected.
Content.
This is a post.
Urgh.
Nick says some things are important, even if you don’t feel them
That is surprising.
Hmmmm, is that the numbness thing i was speaking about.
Things that don’t feel the way i expected.
Oh, they are felt outside me.
Hmmmmmm
I think i need to subscribe to disney and watch wakanda forever.
There are things to do with me that others feel more than i do. Air?
That’s a weird concept
But noticing the dissonance is the thing.
With curiosity.
This is a whole post.
Is this the post?
Today’s post?
A true story of discovering what i don’t feel.
Wakanda forever next week?
Also a thing i might not feel
Hmmm, consider saving this until i’m not feeling the post any more either/
Otherwise i’m doing too much feeling
Feeling for…….
Emotional entrainment
Something?
Experiment
What is alive in me now is the wonder of it.
But it does not fit my posting schedule.
Perhaps i can weave it in.
Write from wonder of not feeling something i expected to feel.
Feeling in my dreams, not feeling in my real life.
Ok, that’s peculiar AF
Can i weave this in to reconciliation post.
About the other.
Feeling differently, responding differently to what i do
Yes, profoundly relevant.
Urgh
How to make it go together?
I don’t have to share right away.
Other’s big positive feelings.
Feeling envy.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm
You get what you get.
Oh, that’s brain things.
I feel different ways about different things.
Other people might get a strong feeling of accomplishment from this…..
I get not very much
Of academic interest.
No wonder i have not chased it
Except it does make sense.
And now i value that
I do keep thinking of a suitable boy
With the annoying ending
And finding myself here again
Less drama
Hold both
Choose
Lol
What i’m saying yes to now can be different to what i have said yes to in the past.
The other. All about duality…..
