Radiant Voices interview with Heiddi Zalamar, The Dream Bruja
There were two moments that really landed for me in this interview.
First, that shocking sense of space and stillness that can come after moving beyond struggle. When you’re so used to tension and conflict, just arriving somewhere peaceful can feel… startling.
It might look something like this:
A sudden breath in.
A pause.
Looking around like, wait—is this safe?
Your shoulders drop.
Your eyes soften.
You exhale.
And then the realization hits:
It’s okay.
You’re okay.
Nothing bad happened in getting here.
Pigs didn’t fly. The world didn’t fall apart.
You’re just… here.
Alone, but not lonely.
With room to breathe. With space to soften.
And honestly? That might be the most disorienting part—because when your nervous system is wired for struggle, this peace can feel oddly threatening at first. Not because it is dangerous, but because it’s unfamiliar.
So the practice becomes:
Keep breathing.
Stay with it.
Stay with yourself.
The push-pull, the “other,” the old pattern—it might return soon enough. But right now? You’re here. And it’s all okay. Actually, it’s kind of beautiful.
It reminds me of that moment in the Justin Timberlake movie In Time, where the hero shifts from (time) scarcity to abundance. Bodies move differently there. The way he moves changes—awkward, off-balance – when he first arrives because his body hasn’t slowed down into the safety of ease.
The second part of this reflection that really resonated? The quiet, deep sense of YES.
It’s subtle. Easy to miss.
But in that space—where you’re no longer running or gripping—something in you whispers:
Yes, this way.
Yes, we’re in this together.
Yes, more is possible.
Yes, begin here.
Not because you’ve figured everything out, or because the mind has signed off with a checklist. But because your heart is sensing the way forward.
And yet, the mind has its role too. After all, to feel the between, there needs to be a here and a there. We live in contrast and duality. And from that place, we get to weave our way into something deeper.
This all reminded me of Rumi’s poem:
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
There is a field. I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass,
The world is too full to talk about…
That’s what the YES feels like.
A field.
A connection.
A whisper of unity.
So maybe this isn’t about choosing one way or the other, but listening for that secret third way—the one that holds both the space between and the deep YES.
Movies. Poems. Dreams. They’re maps we can feel.
What’s the dream coming alive in you, as you read this?
What’s your whisper of YES?

Walking the path alone – and thriving
What if trusting yourself—fully, deeply, and without fear—was the key to transformation?
“ If I have to walk by myself in this journey, then I’m okay with it and I really am okay. Nothing bad happened. The sky didn’t fall, pigs didn’t fly.”
In this soulful conversation, Heiddi Zalamar shares her journey of self-reliance, courage, and intuitive living, from childhood dreams and trauma to her evolution as a therapist and dream interpreter. She reflects on decolonizing her life, embracing her witchy side, and building an aligned, sustainable path—proving that sometimes, walking alone is exactly what leads us home.

Encouragement for Sensitive Souls:
🌿 If Heidi’s story feels big or daunting, take a breath—you’re not behind, and your path doesn’t need to look the same to be meaningful.
Sometimes hearing someone else’s clarity can stir up our uncertainty.
That’s okay.
Let it be a quiet invitation, not a pressure.
You’re allowed to move slowly, to not know yet, to listen gently to your own rhythm.
Transformation doesn’t always roar—sometimes it whispers, and that still counts. 💫

Affirmation for courageous women
If I have to walk this path alone, I can—and I will—because the path is mine, and I am already enough.
Many women with AuDHD in their lives love to seek deeper meaning, follow intuitive threads, and find quiet joy in the spaces between things.
They are conditioned to strive, fix, perform, and anticipate what’s expected—often at the cost of their own inner knowing.
Which undermines our ability to pause, soften, and trust that we are safe, even when nothing seems urgent or productive.
Remember you can breathe into the stillness, hold space for your longing, and let your YES arise from within.
I trust you to find your way, even if it looks different from the map you were handed.
Listening to Radiant Voices you will
hear stories that echo your own quiet wisdom, remind you of your strength, and invite you to belong—exactly as you are.

Draft Notes on space and heart tugs
Heiddi Zalamar
Two moments landed for me strongly.
That shocking sense of space and stillness in moving beyond struggle and conflict.
The intake of breath
The uncertainty in the silence
The checking around
The softening of shoulders
Relaxing eyes
Exhale
It’s ok.
I’m ok
Nothing bad happened in arriving here
Pigs didn’t fly. The world has not gone peculiar.
I’m simply here alone.
With space to breathe and soften.
That takes some getting used to
When my whole system is conditioned to compression and struggle.
It feels unknown and vaguely threatening
Because unfamiliar.
Keep breathing
Stay with it
Stay with yourself
The other will likely return soon enough.
And here you are, now and it’s all ok.
And in fact perfectly normal.
Simply more spacious and accommodating.
This reminds me of justin timberlake movie In time.
Where the transition from poverty to wealth was experienced just like this.
The other part of this conversation that especially resonated was the quiet, deep sense of YES.
That is maybe more perceptible in the spacious state (physiology, bitch)
But is actually always there, waiting to be noticed.
Ie, i don’t want to imply that there is an order in which to access these feelings.
The key is the seeking and sensing for the still, quiet space between things.
Following your hearts longing, less than the mind’s goading.
And yet it is all required.
Because for there to be a between, there must also be here and there.
Which can be framed up by mind.
Some kind of duality.
To then be recombined.
Rumi’s poem the field came to mind
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
There is a field. I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass,
The world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase each other
Doesn’t make any sense.
The YES is a whisper of that connection and unity.
Yes, we’re in this together
Yes, more is possible
Yes, let’s begin here, beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing.
Together, the space between and the deep YES point to the secret third way.
Movies, poems, they are tangible dreams.
What is your dream?
Heiddi is a dream worker.
What is called forth in you as you listen to her story?
