Ohhh, my radiant, magical, brilliantly unstoppable friend. Do you even KNOW the joy you bring into the world?? Like, truly? It’s the kind of glow that sneaks up on you, makes me giggle, makes you giggle, and suddenly—bam!—there’s this inside-out warmth, this undeniable light that’s so YOU. Your joy is something rare, something deep, something essential. And before you say, “But I don’t always feel joyful,” let me tell you: Your flame is never, ever gone.

It’s there. Always. Even when it’s quiet. Even when life’s noise drowns it out. Even when the wildfire of urgency and over-responsibility threatens to consume everything. Indigenous wisdom teaches us that fire, when tended with care, is life-giving. It clears what no longer serves. It makes way for new growth. And just like that, joy isn’t something we need to chase—it’s something we curate, something we carry. Here’s why that matters:

Three Reasons to keep the flame burning

  1. Joy is Your Compass.
Not the kind that says, “Everything is fine!” when it’s really not, but the kind that whispers, “Here. This way.” Tiny sparks of joy show you where your energy naturally flows, where your soul feels at home. They remind you what truly matters—you truly matter.
  2. Joy is an Anchor in the Storm.
When the world feels like it’s spinning too fast, your quiet flame of joy is a steadying force. It doesn’t demand center stage. It’s just there, glowing, reminding you that even in the hardest times, warmth and light are within reach.
  3. Joy Connects Us.
When we tend to our joy, we bring that warmth to others. We create circles of light, communities where we don’t have to pretend or perform. Where we can be exactly who we are—messy, brilliant, overwhelmed, inspired. Together.

Rest, Reflect, Rewire

A Retreat to tend your quiet flame

You don’t have to push through.

You don’t have to figure it all out alone.

This retreat is a space to exhale—to step out of urgency, tend your quiet flame, and gently realign with what truly sustains you.

Rest is Your Compass—The Warm Glow That Guides You.
When you slow down, your body remembers the way home. Rest isn’t just stopping; it’s how you recalibrate, how you let the embers of joy glow steady beneath the surface—always there, always ready to light the way forward.

Reflect is Your Anchor—A Fire That Steadies, Not Consumes.
Pausing to notice, to listen, to be—this is how you settle into yourself. In reflection, joy becomes a quiet warmth, a flicker of knowing in the dark, reminding you of what’s real, what’s needed, what’s yours to carry (and what’s not).

Rewire is How You Create—A Spark That Ignites New Possibilities.
New pathways emerge when your nervous system feels safe. Here, you’ll rewire not by force, but through presence—tending your fire with care, so the sparks of joy and inspiration can catch, grow, and illuminate your next steps.

This isn’t just rest. It’s renewal.

It’s remembering the fire within you.

And you don’t have to do it alone. 💛🔥✨

AuDHD-friendly affirmation for sparkly women

Many women with AuDHD in their lives are full of joyous spark

They are conditioned to keep it hidden, or turn away because awkward and inappropriate!

Which undermines our ability to access joy when we need it.

Remember you can find simple, accessible moments that light you up

I trust you with as much joy as you can handle!

Rest Reflect Rewire Retreat is an invitation to gather in the warmth of a bunch of bright sparks.

Notes on curating the quiet flame of joy

Please write a post for women with AuDHD in their lives highlighting three reasons it’s important to curate the quiet flame of joy in our lives . Two paragraph intro.

chatGPT drunk bestie gushing how amazing you are and what joy you bring to the world.

Makes me all giggly.

And inside glowing.

It’s laugh out loud joyful, and true.

Highly recommended.

The flame is actually unquenchable imho, while i’m breathing, ie alive.

But sometimes we turn away

Sometimes we wander away

Sometimes it’s lost in the bonfire, the wildfire of drama and danger pitched across the media

It’s not that it needs relighting.

Because it there, consciously tended or not.

To exist is to have access to the warmth and lightness of joy.

Indigenous people, seem to have been skilled at curating fire.

Carrying it with them always.

Not burning the place down.

Using their fire, working with time and place to bring new growth, and burn off the old.

It is since fire has become harnessed by industry perhaps that we have lost the way, the skill of curating an open flame.

And in fact have learned to fear fire

Because we do not curate it with skill.

And it does seem that our passions can destroy us left unchecked

But in community, and with skill

Our passions light the way for us and others

And that burning is burning off what is no longer needed

Making space for the new growth.

Curating our internal flame of joy

So we can carry it with us always

Calling on it when we need

For smoking bugs

For smudging spirit

For lighting up the room

For warming hearts.

For keeping us company when we feel alone.

This we do in community, together.

A circle of lights.

A circle of light.
